Workout at HOME during Covid-19? YES please.

You CAN move your body by working out at home! You may find yourself asking these questions. How do I workout? What am I going to do? The gym is closed? The yoga studio is closed? 

Workout at Home

The answer to those questions? We already all know it or are already making it happen… workout at home. Find something online. Did you know that there are LOCALS you can follow and support that are posting workouts and yoga classes? Did you know that some of them are actually just doing it for FREE? They are just hands down passionate about what they do and are doing their best to keep you motivated to keep working out…. AT HOME.

I have to admit, these are STRANGE times. And the good thing? I’ve already seen SO many humans helping others in various ways. This is community…. OUR community. For me personally being a personal trainer, fitness instructor and yoga teacher, I started watching not only myself, ALSO soooo many others are posting AT HOME workout/yoga videos. This inspired me to create a list of locals in our Destin/30a area right here for our Mom’s Blog family. (cus if you are a mom, you already do some of this at-home working out). 

This #Covid-19 is very surreal. We are all experiencing it in some way. I am obviously very passionate about continuing to move your body and really, the inspiring part of all this is knowing SO many of us are still going at it! So…. get up, go get your sweats on and start swiping! An At home workout is just a click away…. 

At Home Body Weight/ Low Equipment Workouts: 

  1. Barbara Cash (Passion Fitness For Life):  Daily workouts/ TRX
  2. Tiffany Colleta Edwards (Work Sweat HIIT Repeat) : Daily Body Weight + Low Equipment workouts
  3. Alex Weiner (Shut Up And Run) : videos and in her social stories  
  4. Sand Dunes Strength & Conditioning: Live at 9am Monday- Saturdays
  5. Bend The Bar Fitness: At Home Workouts
  6. Grand Fitness: At Home  Workouts by their Trainers + More 
  7. Leah Van House: Video Workouts or PM her for Zoom.  
  8. Amanda Jo Gordon: Coming Soon!
  9. Thi Bod Fitness: motivations+ Zumba/fitness classes online for members
  10. Sarah LaTour:5-8 minute workouts,  Live Vinyasa

Yoga is another great way to move and is also online from your local favorites:

  1. Jess Dunlap (Just_Jess_13):  Live Yoga (She will also be teaching through Destin Hot Yoga via Zoom)
  2. Studio 30a + Laura Bailey Yoga: Live Yoga with Laura + Shannon (Through the Mind body app or online on their website you can sign up for $7 each)
  3. The Yoga Haus: Video Library to do at home at YOUR leisure! (They are doing a FREE  2 week trial for their pre-loaded online video classes!) They already have two videos up! And will be getting more very soon.
  4. Ashley Michelle: KIDS YOGA COMING SOON! *Please stay tuned for this one, I will add a link as soon as she is up and running. It’s a great way to help your kids be more mindful and present.* (my Lilly loves her)
