Where Do You Blog Best?

Ya’ll… If you know me then you know I recently leveled up to 50.  Which is really NOT old, but dang I feel old right this minute.  I’m sitting in a tattoo shop with my 18 year old daughter and the music is so loud I can’t think!  I started writing at least three other topics before starting this one, and even after I got the first few sentences of this one out it is incredibly hard to finish. Not only is the music too loud, it’s music I probably would never choose to listen to.  Anyway – this all made me wonder – where do you blog best?

I clearly do not blog best with loud club music boom-booming in the background.  Seriously!  What the hell was I thinking when I thought I could knock out a blog post at a tattoo shop??  I have ADD and this is over stimulation at its finest.  The songs themselves are giving me even more ideas to write about though.  For instance why do these songs talk about such terrible stuff?  Do these rappers/singers really go through what they sing about, or are they posers?  Anyone remember the Vanilla Ice scandal?

Where DO you blog best?

What the hell was I just writing about??   Oh yes – I want to know; where do YOU blog best?  Or where do you write best?  I envision seasoned writers sitting in the perfect office with the most comfortable chair, a top of the line computer, an organized desk, soft inspiring music in the background, no interruptions – you know what I mean.  Writers utopia.  

I am NOT in writers utopia.  Does it even exist??  My ideas come at the worst times.  For instance when we are eating dinner; or when we are watching a movie – it never fails to happen.  Then all I can think about is what I want to write about next and get excited about all the ideas I have.  Of course when I take the time to write, something shiny floats through my mind and I get distracted by it.  The worst place the urge to write happens is at work…  I work part time in an office and have a computer in front of me all day when I’m there.  However I’m at work and, alas, I can’t write. 

Please comment below and tell me – where do you blog best?  Where do you write best?  Tell me your secrets or even just your best advice.  Do you have that writers utopia where you hammer out blogs, chapters, novels, screenplays, or poems?  I would love to hear how you accomplish your writing goals.  What do I do?  I write wherever I can, even if it’s just a few minutes and even if it’s in a tattoo shop.
