Baytowne Wednesday Night Concert Series

Taking place on Saturday, May 6, 2023, on Baldwin Avenue in Downtown DeFuniak Springs, the event will begin at 8:00AM, in conjunction with the weekly Farmer’s Market. “

 

Burning Up The Beaches Car Show at Destin Commons

May 4 – 6

From their website: “Burning Up The Beaches is a fun-filled weekend with gearheads from all over the United States taking place May 4 – 6, 2023. Participating attendees will enjoy three days of events and showing off their cars on the sugar-white beaches of Destin and Fort Walton Beach. 

Drivers will cruise throughout Ft. Walton Beach with designated stops from 9AM – 3PM on Friday, May 5, followed by a Cinco de Mayo themed party with entertainment provided by Flash Flood. Join in the fun on Saturday, May 6 for Car Show Central at Destin Commons from 9AM – 3PM.  There will be raffle baskets and 50/50 tickets throughout the event. This event is free for spectators. 

All funds raised during Burning Up The Beaches weekend will support The Arc of the Emerald Coast’s mission to provide a path from disability to capability.”

Produced by the Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County, ArtsQuest provides an opportunity to view and purchase original art from over 200 artists from around the country while also experiencing live musical entertainment, ImagiNation (where kids rule), student exhibits and great food & beverage options in the Town Center of Grand Boulevard at Sandestin.”

From their website: “Celebrate LakeFest in downtown DeFuniak Springs Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20. This annual event is loaded with activities the whole family will love on the water and banks of beautiful Lake DeFuniak, one of the world’s rare, naturally round spring-fed lakes.

The 2023 event is comprised of live entertainment, kayak/water sport races, outdoor evening movie, fish fry, hilarious cardboard boat races, water demonstrations, booth exhibits, water slides, bounce houses, kids activities, an historic district bicycle tour, and car show. The 2023 program will include overnight primitive camping for those who sign up in advance for an event or who are vendors, sponsors and educational booth hosts.
