Little Red Riding Hood in Seaside: Saturdays 10/8 + 10/15 at 12:30pm. Another favorite fairy tale brought to life by The REP Theatre! A group of traveling actors creates much onstage merriment by presenting their own version of the classic children’s story, Little Red Riding Hood. A complimentary event proudly presented by the Seaside Merchants.
Destin Seafood Festival : The 44th annual Destin Seafood Festival takes place along the Destin Harbor Boardwalk Oct. 7 – 9, 2022! Come out to the world’s luckiest fishing village for this three-day festival filled with great seafood, live music and family fun on the Destin Harbor. Free admission.
Pirates of the High Seas + Renaissance Fest : October brings waves of fun-filled adventures to Panama City Beach with the annual Pirates of the High Seas & Renaissance Fest. Setting sail October 7 – 9, 2022, this year’s FREE festival is sure to take pirate fun to a whole new level. Bring the family to experience all the FUN, including a scavenger hunt, pirate invasions, a kids parade and main parade, live music, vendors, fireworks and so much more!

Watersound Origins Porch Fest : The Watersound Origins community will host the annual Watersound Origins Porchfest on Sunday, October 9 from 3 – 6PM. This event will take place throughout Watersound Origins on the front porches and lawns of the community. This event is FREE and open to the public. Bring a lawn chair and friends and be ready for an afternoon of good music, good people, and good neighbors. Food Trucks at the event include: Curry in a Hurry and Taco 30A.
Walton County Fair : The Walton County Fair 2022 takes place October 10 – 15 at the Fair Grounds in DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Lots of family fun for the week! See Walton County Fair website for schedule of events, rides, pricing, youth activities, contest entries, live entertainment, and more!
Best on the Emerald Coast : SAVE THE DATE! The 2022 Best of the Emerald Coast event benefiting the Junior League of the Emerald Coast will take place on Saturday, October 15th from 6:00pm – 9:00pm at Grand Boulevard at Sandestin in Miramar Beach.

Eden Gardens Film Fest : Eden Gardens Film Series includes three movies in the park in October. Come out to relax under the live oaks at Eden Gardens State Park and enjoy the movie starting at 6:30PM. Films are free with paid park admission, $4 per vehicle. Films will be shown on the lawn near the pavilion and guests are welcome to bring chairs, blankets, bug spray and coolers. Concessions will offer popcorn, candy and drinks for sale. Films roll at 6:30PM October 13: Ghostbusters, October 20: The NeverEnding Story, October 27: Frogs
Panama City Beach Oktoberfest :Panama City Beach Oktoberfest returns to Aaron Bessant Park October 14-16. Enjoy three days of German and locally brewed beer, food, music, as well as activities for kids and families. The event will feature a massive tent decorated like the authentic Oktoberfest tent in Munich, Germany, as well outdoor beer gardens and a VIP section under the tent. Chautauqua Winery Harvest Festival : Join in the fun at Chautauqua Winery’s Harvest Festival at Chautauqua Winery in Defuniak Springs on Saturday, October 15 from 9am – 5pm. This FREE admission festival features live music, complimentary wine tastings, art & craft vendors. and more.
Eggs on The Beach : Bay Breeze Patio, an official retailer of the Big Green Egg, announces the 8th annual Eggs on the Beach: EggFest Cooking Competition taking place on Saturday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Seascape Towne Center in Miramar Beach, Florida.

Barktoberfest : Dog-Harmony presents Barktoberfest, a doggie social with beer for humans, will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 27, in Grand Park at the upscale shopping center Grand Boulevard. This event is free and open to the public. Guests will enjoy light bites, libations, and raffle drawings.
Alys Beach Fall Fest : Join us in the Alys Beach Amphitheatre on Friday, October 28th as we celebrate the spookiest time of year on 30A with Alys Beach’s inaugural Fall Festival! With activities for all goblins and ghouls beginning at 4:30PM, we invite you, your friends and family to join us for fall crafts, face painting, a photobooth and more – all to the tune of 30A favorites, Huck & Lilly!
Destin Commons Halloween Haunt : Halloween Haunt is returning to Destin Commons this October with a spooktacular affair on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 6 to 8 p.m. Local families can kick off the Halloween weekend with fun festivities that include a costume contest, trick-or-treating, face painting, and crafts by Build-a-Bear. This annual event is open and free to the community.

Festival of Arts : Mattie Kelly Arts Foundation (MKAF) presents the annual Festival of the Arts October 29 & 30, 2022, an entire weekend of art, music, food and fun for everyone. The area’s premiere fine arts festival takes place at the MKAF Cultural Arts Village in Destin, Florida. Free for all attendees. Seaside Halloweener Derby : The annual Halloweener Derby takes place on Saturday, Oct. 29th in Seaside, Florida. Harborwalk Village Spook Street : Join Harborwalk Village as they host Trick-or-Treating along the Destin Harbor and a Family Costume Contest on Saturday, October 29th.
RUN Watersound : The second annual RUN WATERSOUND will take place on Sunday, October 30th with two new event distances. In addition to the 5K, this year’s event will feature a 10K and a kids’ fun run for those under 12 years old. All races will begin and end at the Watersound Town Center with a flat scenic course through the paths and street of the Watersound Origins community. Witches of South Walton Charity Ride : The Witches of South Walton are set to ride in the 19th Annual Witch Ride this October. Every year, the Witches decorate bikes and fly throughout their communities. These Witches dress to impress, decorate their bikes/brooms and have a wicked fun Halloween celebration. The Witches of South Walton Founders Ride will leave from Gulf Place on Monday, October 3st at 7:00AM. The Witches will again be riding to support the mission of Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN). Event registration at Register.WitchRide.com
Trick or Treat Seaside : It’s time for ghosts, goblins and princesses to go door-to-door collecting candy from the Seaside merchants to feed their sugary appetites on Monday, October 31 from 4 – 6PM. Kids of all ages enjoy the fun. Free and open to the public.
Boo by the Beach @ Pier Park : Trick-or-treating is better by the beach! On Halloween, Monday, October 31st, boos and ghouls can go store-to-store in Pier Park collecting treats in an open-air, family-friendly environment from 4-7PM.
Halloween on the Boolevard : Families are invited to trick-or-treat throughout the Grand Boulevard Town Center on Halloween from 4PM – 6PM where stores and restaurants will pass out candy and other treats to children. Dress up in your favorite costume and fill your bag in a safe pedestrian-friendly place.
Trick of Treat Street @ Baytowne : Calling all ghouls, ghosts, and goblins to the Village of Baytowne Wharf for a spooktacular extravaganza! This Halloween from 6-8pm, Trick or Treat through the Village streets and visit merchants for your favorite treat. Dance on the stage as the DJ plays frighteningly good tunes and end the evening with a spooky fireworks show over the lagoon at 8pm. Admission is free and open to the public.
