Looking for some free things to do around 30a?? Maybe you are a local, maybe you come here every year, or maybe you are here visiting for the first time. Either way, it is always fun to find more things to do around town! Check out some of our favorite free things to do around 30a!
Movie night at The Big Chill (previously named The Hub) : Family movie nights are one of our favorite things to do year round. The movies are fun, everyone can grab the food they want at the restaurants, and there is cozy seating. The Big Chill publishes a calendar each week to give you an update of what is going on.
Free shows in Seaside : Movie nights, concerts, movies in the park. The shows vary depending on the time of year (more offerings in the summer) and there are oftentimes fantastic holiday events as well! They keep their events updated here.
Seaside’s Central Square : Run around, pack a picnic, or throw a frisbee around the green space in Seaside’s Central Square. You can soak up the weather while people watching 🙂
The beach : Duh 😉 But we obviously had to add it! The beach is what brings people back here year after year. White sand. Warm, clear water. It’s like the Caribbean but right here in the panhandle.
Seaside Pavilions : Go on a walk through seaside and check out the houses + pavilions. (there are 9) Don’t forget to check out the house that was made famous of by the movie The Truman Show!
Trails for days : Walk or bike along the paved trail that runs along 30a.
Nature Trails : Explore the forest trails in Point Washington state forest.
State Parks : During the summer months, check out the multiple state parks. Free of charge in Walton County (current info as of the time this was written). Bonus: the beaches are often quieter at the state parks, especially during busy season. Grayton Beach is a favorite and so is Deer Lake.
