4th of July Outfits for Moms

It’s that time of year where everything is sticky and sweaty but social demands require that we present ourselves in something other than workout gear 24/7 (at least, my hope is that you change out of your athleisure from time to time). For some, it’s been awhile since you have put outfits together for activities and social gatherings and that muscle may have atrophied a bit. Don’t let the panic of figuring out what to wear dampen the joy of seeing friends again especially for the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. I have curated four 4th of July outfits, plus a bonus, so the only thing you have to worry about is when was the last time you reapplied sunscreen.

All items can be found here via my online catalog. All pieces have been styled into outfits within the Lookbook tab. No time or budget to purchase new pieces? This is still a great resource to shop your closet for similar items to create your own Fourth of July weekend look.

Casual and Classic

This is quintessential classic cool. Who doesn’t own a pair of denim shorts or a jean skirt that could be paired with a classic button down or popover top? Don’t forget to add some interest in your accessories with a metallic sandal and a summer hat that pulls double duty. The look is stylish and practical.

Cookout Chic

A cookout doesn’t have to mean shorts and a t-shirt. Why not opt for a comfortable and stylish maxi or simple linen dress? You will still stay cool but also look incredibly put together. Let the dress be the main show and reach for an easy slip-on sandal and vintage jewelry.

Garden Party Cool

If you aren’t a dress or shorts kinda girl, white jeans can be much too hot for a mid-afternoon in July. That doesn’t mean you don’t have other options like a loose cropped pant for an easy breezy look and feel. For a belted or high waisted pant, choose a short tank that hits at the top of the pant or go for a bodysuit that shows off the belted detailing. You will have “legs for days” when finished off with a tall wedge or heeled slide sandal.

Stylish lil Firecracker

A maxi skirt is another great option to pull off the stylish but comfortable look. I love a button up maxi that has an ample slit to let your legs breathe a little easier and for the look to be less matronly. A white bodysuit that stays tucked in by its very nature is the perfect partner for this piece. However, if you are still hesitant to try a bodysuit, a white or neutral colored tank top will look equally as cute. Add a metallic (which is treated as a neutral!) lace up sandal for some sparkle and top with a wide brimmed hat for the daytime.

Beach Day Ready

I am sure many will be pool, lake or beachside this weekend and if you are still searching for the perfect one-piece look no further! Summersalt has incredible patterns, cuts and colors that flatter every figure and they look amazing and stylish. I can’t say enough positive things. Feel comfortable moving around in your swimsuit with an added extra layer like a throw over caftan or a matching sarong.
