2018 Mom of the Year Winner!

We are so excited to announce that the 2018 Mom of the Year is : 

Rachel Scarborough

[nominated by Jason Scarborough]  “Whether you see Rachel in the grocery store, the ballpark, the gym, or running down 30A, I can assure you she will have a smile on her face. She spreads joy & happiness everywhere she goes, and lends a listening ear or shoulder to cry on to anyone in need. She is the easiest person to be around, & she always goes the extra mile to make sure everyone in her presence feels comfortable & welcome.

 Rachel is a busy mother of 4 who works as an Aesthetic Nurse Practitioner. When she is not doing Mom duties or at work helping other Moms lose their insecurities & regain their self confidence, she is out volunteering in the community & participating in anything to make this world a better place for our children. She has run 11 marathons as a fundraiser for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital team and has raised thousands of dollars to help save those precious children. She has such a heart for children, all children. Her own children struggle with heath issues, and she tutors her daughter every single day, on top of chasing her 2 year old daughter and 7 year old son, but you will never hear her complain. Instead she will tell you how blessed and lucky her family is.  

She is what I call a “Mom’s Mom” because she is not only an amazing listener but she is real & honest about the daily struggles moms face. She is truly a strong woman because she empowers other women & reminds them how special & amazing they are. Whether it’s comforting a mom who has not slept in days, helping a new mom master breastfeeding techniques, making a house call to check a toddler for an ear infection, offering her knowledge of diet & exercise along with encouragement to a new mom just getting back in the gym, or just lending a listening ear…she does it with true kindness & compassion. And most of all, she loves helping others. She herself said the best payment for anything you do is not money, it is to know you made someone’s day a little better, and that she does every day & wants nothing in return. I would like to nominate Rachel Scarbrough because she is by far the most giving, friendliest, uplifting & amazing person & mother I have ever met. She somehow manages to juggle motherhood, a career, & all of life’s responsibilities so well that she makes it look easy. ”
