Hi Mamas! I’m Whitney. I’m a 27 year old wife and mama. I grew up in a little town in North Alabama with my parents and two sisters. Yes, i’m the middle and no, there IS NOT a such thing as middle child syndrome because i’m the favorite. Right, Mom? Life with two sisters is exactly how you would imagine. Well, maybe. Lots of laughs and fun sleepovers but also lots of stealing each others’ clothes and the occasional fist fight.
I married my husband, Michael, when I was only 19 years old and we have been married for almost 8 years. If you know us, you know we are nothing alike. Michael is loud, outgoing and super extroverted. I am the complete opposite! I may be an introvert but my jokes are on point. Michael on the other hand, total dad jokes. We have settled our little family here in Santa Rosa Beach, and never plan on leaving! We love everything from chilling at the beach or pool with family, or enjoying all the fun events and eating at the food trucks in Seaside. We also may or may not vlog our daily lives on youtube. 😉
After almost 4 years of marriage, we welcomed our little lady, Charlee Bea who is now 3.5! She is the perfect combo of sweet and sass and that’s just the way we like her. The day I met her is a blur. We went in for induction after an amazing pregnancy, and after complications and me almost dying due to hemorrhaging, I ended up having an emergency hysterectomy. So, it’s a miracle we are together today! After almost 4 years of being the only fireball in this house (Michael, bite your tongue!) she’s super excited to be a big sister. 🙂
Big sister? Whaaa? You heard me! We are adopting her sibling this year! We couldn’t be more thrilled to be on this journey, and that God chose this path for our lives.
You can count on me to blog lots about all the mama goods (and bads) because let’s face it y’all, I have a threenager so stuff gets pretty crazy around here. I can’t wait to share more of our story, our adoption journey, and all the amazing things in this little piece of beachy paradise.
So let’s be friends and hangout! Or as Charlee would say, let’s be “besties for da resties!”
